I know what you’re thinking, i could never give up my chicken, my stake, my eggs, my ice cream and my butter! All of those things, but hopefully this article will get you to think a little bit about how good it would feel or how healthy you could be, if you perhaps didn’t eat these things or replace them with better alternatives for your body.
I’ve seen these lists before from various other sources, but i thought it would be really cool to do my own version of the seven things that i’ve noticed, and not eating meat or dairy. I’m hoping that you will feel or be inspired by some of these benefits as well. With no further due, here are the seven things that usually happen when you give up dairy and meat.
1. Immediate weight loss
When most people give up dairy and meat, the first thing that they usually notice, is that they drop a few pounds. I’m not just talking about any kind of weight loss, I’m talking about a good healthy weight loss, because hopefully when you give up dairy and meat, you’re starting to eat more fruits and veggies, and you’re filling up your body with a lot more vitamins and minerals, yet these healthier foods. By doing that, you are literally eating less animal protein, less animal fats and you’re consuming healthier food.
When i say a healthy weight loss, i mean that this is done via eating more nutritious food, not via starving yourself or restricting calories. It’s done simply by taking out these two simple things, and just replacing it with more fruits and veggies. Most people, when they first start this lifestyle notice immediately weight loss. I’m telling you; things start to fall off all over your body, and your body begins to cleanse, rebuild and restore.
2. Immediate increase in the amount of energy
If you’re eating a lot of fruits and veggies, you will feel an immediate increase in the amount of energy that you have, a lot more energy. When you’ll go fully raw, you’ll have enough energy to run, to do yoga, to start boxing. The amount of energy that you’ll have when you eat fully raw and give up meat and dairy is just insane. Imagine all of the different things that you could do with more energy. Also, an extra added bonus to this, is that you get better sleep, way better sleep. That beautiful deep rested sleep.
3. Improved digestion
That’s right, if you’re not going to pee at least once a day or poo three times a day, you’re considered to be chronically constipated. By giving up meat and dairy, which are not fiber heavy foods, you’re actually going to be increasing the amount of times per day that, you can potentially go to the restroom. Now, consider this is only going to happen if, you increase the amount of fruits and vegetables that you’re consuming. By giving up meat and dairy, you’re actually going to have improved digestion. You’ll notice that, you will go to the restroom more, you’ll have a lot less belly bloating. It’s pretty awesome actually, I don’t need to say much more than this, but all I’ll say is that you’ll have better digestion and less constipation.
4. Less congestion, Reduced allergies & Reduced mucus buildup
This means that you can breathe easier, year around. This also means that you’re going to have fewer allergic reactions to pollens in the air. It means that you’re going to have less mucus build up in your body, because dairy produces a lot of mucus in your body. So, by removing the consumption of dairy, you’re actually reducing the amount of mucus production in your body. So, get rid of the dairy and get ready to breathe easy.
5. Glowing skin
When you stop eating meat and dairy, your skin clears, it starts glowing. You can get rid of acne, rashes or other types of skin issues that may be having. Start working on your smooth, radiant, healthy, vibrant and glowing skin. Get rid of the meat and the dairy and start eating more fruits and veggies.
6. Reduce risk of type 2 diabetes
By eliminating meat and dairy from your diet, you reduce risk of type 2, heart disease, cancer and more. In addition to this, say goodbye to belly bloating, inflammation, acid reflux and potentially even popping pills that you don’t really need to be popping. I believe that food is medicine, and by getting rid of certain foods in your diet and replacing those foods with the right kind of foods, you can feel a big difference every day.
7. Creating a huge impact on the health of our planet
By eliminating meat and dairy from your diet, you’re creating a huge impact on the health of our planet and all of the inhabitants and animals that live on this planet with us. Most people don’t realize the amount of energy, resources and chemicals that go into raising animals or animal agriculture for us. The amount of water that we use, the amount of animal abuse that happens, these things are atrocious and destructive to our planet and all of the beings that live here with us.
I’m going to read you something from forksoverknives.com that says “Animal agriculture is extremely destructive to the planet, it is the single largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, and is a leading cause of land and water use, deforestation, wild fire destruction, and species extinction. About 2000 gallons of water, are needed to produce just one pound of beef in the United States. Our oceans are rapidly becoming depleted of fish by some estimates. Oceans maybe fishless by 2048. The current food system based on meat and dairy production also contributes to world hunger. The majority of crops grown worldwide go towards feeding livestock not feeding people”.
I also want to bring up a point here that the animals who are being raised and slaughtered in these slaughter houses. This is being done inhumanly, and we have the ability to create a change that is much more powerful and kind.
